Pistachio Pesto Christmas Tree Pastries

 

Ingredients

Pistachio Pesto

- 3/4 cup ground pistachios

- 3 cups fresh basil leaves 

- 1/2 cup parmesan 

- 3 cloves garlic 

- pinch of salt 

- 1/2 cup olive oil 

 

Ingredients for puff pastry

- 1 roll puff pastry

- Pistachio Pesto 

- egg wash: 1 egg + 1 tsp milk 

 

Herby Mozzarella Marinara Dip

- 1/4 cup blended pistachios

- 400 g can chopped tomatoes 

- 60 g mozzarella 

- 2 tbsp olive oil 

- 1 clove fresh garlic 

- 1 tsp dried oregano

- pinch of salt

- garnish with fresh basil leaves 

Instructions

Make your pistachio pesto by blending pistachios, parmesan, basil and olive oil

Roll out your pastry 

Spread the pistachio pesto evenly onto the pastry

Cut the pastry into strips and create a Christmas tree shape on a skewer 

Bake the pistachio pesto Christmas trees
